A collection of posts often on colt E- and I-frame revolvers: pythons, model 357s, officer model specials, etc. Topics not limited to: action jobs, fixing Bubba-gone-wrong gunsmith mistakes, and revolver porn. And sometimes I'll wander off the reservation and type random nouns and verbs that have nothing to do with our sole purpose, because who the hell can really pay attention that long?

recent trip
I haven't been posting much about colts lately --- trying to learn electronics and build a couple computer controlled lathes.
But did have a chance to go on a trip. It was interesting. A lot of fire and the official ethos is: "don't f*cking complain and do something interesting."
I thought this was brilliantly simple --- a line of ballons hundreds of yards long tied with a cord. Someone would be holding it and walking around. Could have been done anytime in the last few decades but this is the first I know of.
Morning:
Fire.
There were around fifteen 15' high flame throwers that could go off in sequence or allatonce. The compression and heat were memorable. Unforunately I apparently don't know how to set my camera for night shots:
A cloning device:
Wonderful textures and colors:
Dust:
One of the most moving statues I've ever seen.
The body made from locks.
It's dragging a key. Wrong size for keyhole.
The chain string attached to the large key is made from keys.
But none fit the face, either.
Or anywhere else
So all the keys
All the locks
None fit
And it has no hand
So can't let go of the keys.
