A collection of posts often on colt E- and I-frame revolvers: pythons, model 357s, officer model specials, etc. Topics not limited to: action jobs, fixing Bubba-gone-wrong gunsmith mistakes, and revolver porn. And sometimes I'll wander off the reservation and type random nouns and verbs that have nothing to do with our sole purpose, because who the hell can really pay attention that long?

ReplyDeleteGood point all accurate information as far as machine tools go. Pins for example .385-,.3850,385+ then .3855-, .3855, .3855+, and .386-
That will tell you where you're at. Or bore mics, intra mics whichever you call them, will also term you exactly what size your cylinder is, ya know... +/-.00005
Calipers change with the weather... +/-.002 is the norm... when new. Some used ones have a good .005 gsp when closed.
